Overview
A classic Grady-White model, the 300 Marlin is an updated version of the 280 Marlin built in 1989–94. The 300 has been the recipient of several updates over the years. Teardrop cabin windows replaced the original rectangular windows in 1999, and the transom was redesigned in 2004 with a larger fish box and a removable cooler box. Max horsepower ratings have also changed as engines became heavier and more powerful. With her tank-like construction and seaworthy deep-V hull, the Marlin more than holds her own against any competitive boat. Standard features include an integrated swim/dive platform, 30-gallon standup live well, rigging station with tackle drawers, insulated fish box, cockpit rod storage, cockpit toe rails, aft-facing jump seat, transom door, raw-water washdown, cockpit bolsters, gunnel rod holders, and foldaway rear seat. Below decks, the Marlin’s well-finished cabin sleeps four and includes a full-service galley with fridge, enclosed head/shower, mid cabin double berth, and convertible dinette/V-berth forward. No lightweight, the Marlin tops out at close to 40 knots with Yamaha 250s. Used Marlins are always in demand.

Manufacturer Provided Description
Grady-White has masterfully redesigned the company's walk-around cabin model Marlin 300 for 2004. The result is all new detailing from the tip of the new bow pulpit to the back of the completely reconfigured transom, and from the cockpit seating and helm and companion areas down into the roomy and handsome cabin. The Marlin, like the Express 330, now has a handsome teak and holly cabin sole. And like the 330, there is a very nice, sturdy teak dining table. In the 300, the teak table stows away conveniently allowing more room for the comfortable vee berth, which is surrounded by a teak storage rack. The galleys cabinet top sports a durable Corian cutting board. The board lifts away to reveal a roomy cooking surface. A refrigerator and microwave complement the other cooking appliances. The enclosed head finishes the cabin and it is plenty tall enough for growing teens to shower in comfort. Up on deck, starting at the bow, the newly designed bow pulpit is easier to use. As with every Grady-White, safety features abound. The deep wide walk-around is covered with Gradys tried and true nonskid, and the handholds are always right where they're needed. Up under the standard hardtop with its cavernous electronics area, the changes and fine-tuning continue. The helm station offers a newly designed optional flush-mount kit to enhance electronics visibility. Gradys standard backlit switches, right at the helmsmans hand, are another real safety and confidence asset, especially on early morning fishing trips or during inclement weather. Starboard side, theres a complete rigging station with freshwater sink, an insulated bait box and lockable tackle drawers standard. And the transom is entirely redesigned. Portside on the transom, there is a removable box, great for storage or as a catch all on cruising days. The centerpiece of the transom is a cavernous 290-quart insulated fish box topped with a nice cutting board. There?s a freshwater shower on the transom, too.
