The ALLEGRO is a 1984 model HUNTER 31 sloop produced by Hunter Marine of Alachua, Florida. She's hull #136 of this model series. Fast & roomy & with a modern "T" cockpit and with an advanced B&R rig, she was produced from 1983 through 1987 and was definitely a production success for this Manufacturer. Rig
The Hunter has the standard Hunter Marine B&R mast, anodized aluminum finish with swept-back spreaders,. The spar is deck-stepped and set up with a single point chain-plate system for the shrouds. The halyards are internal. The rig configuration allows for the elimination of both the "fixed" & "running" backstay(s) for less-complex rigging and an easier sailplan management overall.
