Overview

A well built, stiff and balanced vessel that is easy to sail and is extremely popular on the East Coast, the 31' Island Packet isn't often found on the CA market. Re-powered, with newer sails, canvas and upholstery and proactively maintained, this boat also has a surprisingly roomy interior for a 31-footer with clever uses of space and an open feel. The very large quarter berth can be completely enclosed for privacy, creating a second stateroom in a matter of seconds.

A great boat for couples or small families, perfect for long weekends on Catalina, or further afield.


 

Accommodations

Entering via the companionway, the U-shaped galley is to port. Starboard is the nav station, and a long double quarter berth aft with sliding accordion door. The chart table can be raised to create a partition between it and the salon, and with the door closed the aft berth is a completely private cabin.

In the salon a straight settee is to port, with an L-shaped settee to starboard that pulls out to convert to a double berth. The dining table is folded to the bulkhead, and is easily set up for use. The table is hinged and can be extended to the reach the port settee.

The enclosed head compartment is forward to starboard, comprising a manual head  washbasin with shower wand, mirror and storage lockers. Across to port is a hanging locker, followed by the v-berth with filler cushion.Generous storage in drawers, cabinets, bins, shelves and a large hanging locker. There is access to the head and shower from both the forward stateroom and the salon.
