We have enjoyed owing and racing this great yacht and she is our third boat from the J Boats family. We have had great success racing her with the JOG fleet and some of our results in the 2012 season include:

 

1st St Vaast, St Peter Port, Cowes – Poole, Poole –Cowes, Owers

3rd Cowes-Yarmouth

4th Alderney – Cherbourg

And overall 2nd in the Cat 3 Series and Winners of the Cat 4 series

In 2013 we did less owing to other commitments but still we were

1st Yarmouth-Cowes

2nd Cowes – Cherbourg

4th St Vaast, Cowes, Lymington

Manufacturers Comments

Every now and then a new sailboat comes along that fulfills a real need in the market. Many of them have been J-Boats. Hot off the drawing board, the J/111 is a sleek, speedy, one-design 36 footer that is the ultimate day sailing, racing and weekend cruising sailboat.

 

J/111 is an easy-to-handle, comfortable sailboat that accelerates quickly, slices to windward at 7+ knots and hits double-digit speeds downwind. Performance to date in a wide variety of sailing conditions has been nothing short of remarkable.
