The Krogen Express 52 is a raised pilothouse design with two staterooms, two heads, a dedicated wheelhouse and the galley on the salon level. Interior wood work is cherry.
To board the OUR TIME there are boarding gates port and starboard in the spacious and fully covered cockpit. Beneath, the lazarette provides ample storage for fenders, lines and other necessary equipment that needs a place to live. A walk thru transom door gives way to the fiberglass swim platform with ladder. Moving forward through two watertight doors, the salon is warm and inviting with an L shaped settee to starboard (with storage underneath) and two and leather space saver reclining chairs to port. The high – low coffee table folds open to create a spacious dining area and there is a built in cabinet with book shelf forward to port. The flat screen TV is built into the forward wall that partitions the salon from the galley. OUR TIME's features cherry & holly flooring throughout with fitted, edge bound carpeting everywhere.
The galley is open to and on the salon level so that the chef can always be part of the party. OUR TIME has easily maintained neutral Corian countertops and a spacious GE refrigerator and separate freezer/ice maker paneled in matching cherry wood. A Force 10 three burner propane stove/ oven, a GE Profile Spacemaker II convection microwave oven and a large stainless steel sink round out the food prep area.
Up three steps from the salon, OUR TIME’s wheel house is a true raised pilothouse design with the deckhouse area dedicated to navigation. The centerline helm creates excellent visibility and provides access to nav and com equipment. A settee/watch berth is a convenient place for guests to relax and enjoy the view and folds out to create a berth when needed. Like the rest of the boat, storage in this area is everywhere. There are port and starboard “Dutch” doors in the pilothouse that provide direct access to the side decks.
Down five steps are the sleeping accommodations with two staterooms and two heads and direct access to the stand-up (!) engine room. At the bottom of these steps is a laundry center with stacked washer and dryer next to a watertight door leading to the engine room. The guest stateroom to starboard is set up as an office/study with a built in desk with drawers and deep storage drawers under the berth. The single berth easily converts to a double and two port lights and a screened hatch provide natural light and ventilation. The guest/day head is across the companionway to port and has a separate stall shower, Corian counters, a Vacu-flush head and an overhead screened hatch.
Forward, the master features a true queen berth on centerline that lifts on gas shocks to access the storage below. Port and starboard hanging lockers, a built in dresser with 6 drawers and four side storage cabinets offer excellent storage and there is direct access to the master bath. The sizable stall shower has a molded-in seat, the countertops are Corian and there is good storage in the medicine cabinet and below the sink.
Up 6 steps from the pilot house, the centerline flybridge station is protected with a frameless venture windshield, a Bimini top and a front dodger panel. The Stidd helm chair has the fold down foot rest and the L shaped seating behind the helm has storage below. Aft, the boat deck has additional seating and storage, a radar mast with flood lights and a dingy and davit.
