Linssen Yachts

Linssen Yachts BV began building in the Netherlands in 1949.  By the 1970s, Linssen established their reputation and became known as a yacht builder that builds sophisticated, comfortable, and reliable yachts.  The Linssen style of building completely unique yachts with recognizable style gathered momentum and in recent years, seventy new Linssen Yachts are built each year.  VIVACE is a one owner 2001 Linssen Variotop with low hours and this yacht has always benefitted from professional maintenance.  This Linssen offers a versatile layout, two staterooms, a spacious engine room compartment, and the ability to cruise at 24+ knots!

Needless to say, VIVACE is a unique brokerage boat and she is offered for a price much less than comparable quality express yachts on the market.

Vessel Summary

Boarding this Linssen Yacht from the built-in swim platform is convenient.  The large transom door opens centerline to the aft deck and the entire transom folds down to connect the aft deck with the water.  The teak aft deck is complimented b varnished cap rails and the teak door which leads up to the yacht’s bridge deck.  There are two large storage lockers beneath the teak deck that provides access to the steering gear and aft bilges spaces.  Engine room access is adequate and found below the bridge steps.  Walking forward is straightforward, there are wide teak side decks with high deck rails that lead up to the foredeck.  The teak foredeck features three storage areas plus the electronic controls for the windlass.

A robust teak door separates the aft deck from the bridge deck of this Linssen Variotop Express.  The teak door drastically reduces noise when cruising along at 24+ knots.  This bridge deck has a dedicated A/C unit to ensure this area remains cool enough or warm enough for the day.  There is a double wide helm bench that electronically adjusts to ensure proper comfort and visibility.  The helm is equipped with a full suite of navigation electronics including a newer Garmin 6212 and bow thruster.  There is a wet bar located aft of the helm seat and the bridge deck also features a large L-shaped settee with table and overhead lighting.

Another robust sliding door separates the bridge from the beautiful interior of VIVACE.  Five steps down from the helm brings you to the salon.  Another large L-shaped settee with table is located to starboard.  The leather is comfortable and does not show any signs of neglect.  Immediately to port is the guest stateroom which features over/under berths.  The galley is located forward of the guest stateroom.  The galley space is not large however it has been smartly designed and features an oversized refrigerator.  Opposite the galley is a half bath and stateroom.  The Master has an extra bed forward and a spacious ensuite bath.  Linssen Yacht’s tradition of building best in class yachts can be tracked back to the dearly 1950’s.  Traditional Dutch lines combines with attractive wood interiors earned the build accolades early on and Linssen’s quality workmanship is still apparent today.

If you are considering a two-stateroom express yacht, please call me to discuss the virtues of this Linssen Variotop.  I have been at the helm of VIVACE in various conditions and I can report this boat has a sea kindly hull.  When cruising at hull speed she makes minimum wake, yet push the throttle down and she leaps onto plane.  If conditions really get nautical, you may take spray right over the hardtop but there is no need to worry because the helm is completely protected from the elements.  To make long days at the helm even more luxurious, the bridge deck as air conditioning and heat, plus there is a comfortable L-shaped settee with table located next to the Captain’s helm seat.  VIVACE is not only a super vessel, she is being offered by her original owner who is MOTIVATED to sell now!
