Cabin


The Luhrs 290 Tournament open features a somewhat unique layout. All the way forward is the head. The head features a fresh water sink, (4) storage cabinets, a large wrap around shelf, Teak grate for drainage, a hanging bar for clothes and jackets and a new head installed (2013). Moving aft in the main cabin you will find port and starboard (2) pilot berths that fold up to accommodate up to four guest. Below the port and starboard sofas are two additional storage compartments. There is a teak dinette table mounted to starboard. Against the aft bulkhead is the galley area. There is a large counter surface with built in cutting board, and a stainless sink. Above and below the counter is ample space for storage with 6 drawers below the sink, two cabinets above, a large hanging cabinet to starboard and a large cupboard below complete the galley area. In the port side of the main cabin you will find 2 additional storage cabinets, AC/DC Breaker panel, Clarion marine AM/FM/CD/XM/IPOD stereo. Throughout the cabin thethere are (3) hatches for added light and fresh air, (1) in the head and (2) in main salon area.

Helm

The 290 Tournament open features fantastic panoramic views from its center line helm station. At the helm in addition to the captains chair you will find (2) Furuno Navnet combo units, a simrad AP-16 autopilot, Icom IC-M502 VHF, Floscan gauges, (NEW 2013) Teleflex controls and cables, Clarion remote station for radio, compass and sea fire extinguisher control. To port and starboard are (2) large seating areas with unobstructed views of cockpit. Beneath the seating are additional storage compartments below and a small tackle center to port.

    Below the helm sole is the easy accessible engine compartment. Housed comfortably are two freshly rebuilt (approx. 400 hrs. SMOH) Yanmar 6LP STE diesel engines. The Starboard tranny has recently (2014) been rebuilt and has approx. 50 hours. The sea fire system is also located in the engine room compartment as well.
