Overview

SOLUTION, an OA 450, is a fine example of one of the most successful offerings from Ocean Alexander or for that matter from any boat builder in this size and class.  She is hull #6 of the 450's and was built new in 2000 for her current owners.  Experienced cruisers and owners of several previous boats they were involved in every aspect of her build, outfitting and layout design including the engine room.

They have cruised her extensively over the years mostly around Florida and the Bahamas where they would spend long periods of time in comfort “on the hook” made possible by their knowledgeable input during SOLUTION’s build.  They also spent occasional summer months on the Chesapeake and its tributaries.

Her CAT 3116TA’s have only 1969 hours on them and have always been maintained on schedule including the recent CAT 2000 hour service and because of the owner’s extensive involvement in the engine room and below decks design everything is easy to access here and in the large Lazarette. 

Her 2 Stateroom 2 head layout with separate stall shower is ideal for the cruising couple or individual who has the occasional guests aboard and her upgraded 10 kW Northern Lights gen-set (569 Hours) easily handles the custom 220V “tropical air conditioning package” (24K BTU for Salon/Galley and guest SR with a dedicated 16K BTU system for the Master) while still running all other AC electric needs.

SOLUTION also has many other upgrades such as granite counters in the galley and head, Ultraleather Seating surfaces in the salon, custom teak frame salon sliding screen door aft, extra/enlarged storage cabinets throughout, washer/dryer and the list goes on as you will see as you read through the listing.
