Overview
The 3400 Express is a serious offshore fishing machine with all the built-in amenities hard-core anglers have come to expect in a Pursuit product. She’s built on a beamy modified V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, cored hull sides, and prop pockets to reduce the shaft angle. Originally, the deck plan incorporated a centerline helm flanked by L-shaped lounges. The companionway was to starboard, and the interior had the galley aft. In 1999, the deck tooling was completely changed with a new starboard side helm position with an L-shaped lounge to port. With the companionway now on the centerline, an all-new interior floorplan was devised with a full dinette, although the original layout's stall shower was lost. As before, the entire bridge deck raises up to access the motors. The cockpit has a molded bait station and tackle center, a transom-mounted fish box, and a transom door with a gate. Additional features include wide side decks, a molded bow pulpit, and side-dumping exhausts. A good-running boat, twin Volvo TamD63 diesel will cruise the 3400 Express in the mid-20s and reach a top speed in excess of 30 knots. (PowerBoat Guide)
