Engines

Twin 3196 Caterpiller direct drive diesel engines with Twin Disk transmissions and dripless shaft seals. Each engine is equipped with a set of dual Racor primary fuel filters with "shift on the fly" capability. Each engine is also equipped with its own Block Heater for cold season operation. The engines are 660 hp each and currently have 675 hours of run time.

There is a Reverso Oil Changing system in the engine room. This system pumps the oil from both Engines, both Transmissions and the Generator.

The generator is located aft of the main engines and is located in a sound shield. There are 1300 hrs on run time on the generator.

The hydraulic system for the Swim Platform is located here as well. In general the mechanical arrangement of this boat is very impressive. Access is good and there is storage space for spare parts and fluids too.

The Sea Ray 540 Sundancer is a Super Sized express yacht with substantial living, entertaining space. When new, she outpaced her competition in terms of space and opulence. With a cavernous salon and high gloss Cherry cabinetry the Salon is dominated by a 10 foot Ultraleather sofa with an electric slide-out bed. Handsome galley features ceramic range top and enormous refrigerator. L-shaped cockpit settee converts electrically into a massive sunpad. Note the hydraulic high-low swim platform for hauling jet skis and tenders.
