" Relayer" was purchased by the present owner in March 2005,and had been kept in winter storage and used four months each summer for the five years previous to that time. At the time of purchase, "Relayer" was the best equipped, best maintained 44' Viking available; and the current owner has continued a rigorous maintenance program and has updated and improved most of the vessels equipment and interior appointments.

The yachts interior was completely redone. All new carpet throughout, all wallpaper replaced. Interior lighting updated and LED lights added. All furniture, bedding and drapes replaced. All seat cushions (including flybridge and forward bow seating) replaced. All new aft deck furniture and new carpet on aft deck and flybridge. Replaced laminate countertops in galley and with Corian and new designer sinks and faucets. 

"Relayer" has only 0000 original hours and the engines have been maintained by a well known and highly regarded Detroit Diesel mechanic. The yacht is washed and waxed regularly and just completed its annual haulout and bottom painting this year..

Introduction

Viking Yachts was founded in the early 1960's and built their first all fiberglass boat in 1971, and has been an industry leader since their beginning with a tradition of quality built, innovative designs of sportfish and cruising yachts. The engineering excellence, sophisticated design, and intelligent use of space combined with a finely fitted teak interior yacht-quality finish in a vessel that will cruise at 21kts with twin 485hp Detroit 671's, made the 44' motor yacht one of the most sought after models of its day and a very desirable yacht even now. Fitted with optional factory hardtops on both flybridge and aft deck and plexiglass wing doors on the aft deck, "Relayer" is a yacht that has been lovingly cared for and continuously maintained and upgraded.

Accommodations

Guest stateroom forward has double berth offset to port, hanging locker, multiple drawer storage, carpeted sole, flush mounted electric heater and reading lights. Aft to port is the guest head which features a stall shower with seat.

Aft of the guest stateroom to starboard is a full height washer/dryer area, followed by the functional galley. Opposite the galley to port is a dinette. The galley and head  have a new durable and attractive artificial teak and holly wood sole. The dinette is carpeted. 

Aft and up to the main salon with all new carpets, furniture, fabrics, and lighting. The entertainment center is to starboard. The entertainment center includes a Samsung Flat Screen TV. The large L shaped salon sofa is to port.

Aft and down to the master stateroom with centerline walk-around queen berth, private head with stall shower, two hanging lockers, several stowage drawers, custom escape hatch cover, 15" Flat Screen TV, remote stereo speakers, reading lamps, and A/C control panel.

Aft and up to the aft deck area with new carpeting, furniture and fabrics.Forward and up from the aft deck area to the well designed flybridge. 

Galley

The galley is down to starboard, forward, and has an open view to the salon. Appliances include a new Danby DFF9102 BL Refrigerator, Force10 3 burner electric stovetop, extra lighting, extra stowage and hot and cold pressure water system with new Superstor Stainless Steel 22 gallon water heater. The laminate counter tops were replaced with Corian and new Stainless Steel undermount sink installed, which included Insinkerator Evolution Compact Disposal.

Forward in the galley is the laundry closet with new Whirlpool 4C400XS Washer and LE4930XS Dryer.

Electrical Equipment

110/220 volt AC system, 12 volt DC system, 8kw Kohler 8CCO diesel generator with 0000 hours, master circuit breaker panel in main salon, battery parallel switch at helm, voltage monitor system, telephone and cable TV inlets. Shore power inlet.
