Overview
"MARJOE II" has just received a new dark blue
hull paint job, and is literally still in the paint shed as of this
writing! Take advantage! Photos shown are of the actual boat, but with
her dark green hull.
This yacht represents a
very fine opportunity for anyone in the market for the "Flagship" of
the Back Cove line without the wait. The owner has thoroughly enjoyed
the boat, and offers her for sale to move into a larger yacht. She is
powered by a single Cummins QSC 8.3 600 hp engine with about 305 hours,
which pushes the boat at an easy 22-24 knot cruise. She comes with a bow
thruster, stern thruster, Ocean Air blinds, dual racors, SureShade
system, Lenco Autoglide trim tabs, mast for hardtop, Inverter, Back Cove
Cruise package option, Ultraleather fabrics, teak decking in cockpit
and swim platform, bow fresh water washdown, oil changing system, Magnum
Inverter, windlass with stainless CQR anchor, custom windshield covers,
custom cockpit seating canvas, Satellite TV system, and an incredible
GARMIN electronics package with twin screens. This boat is loaded and is
available immediately. Currently located in Oxford, MD until paint job
is completed in early April.
Accommodations
It is hard to find any other 40'ish Downeast-style boat that offers such
roomy accommodations as the Back Cove 41'. Her galley-up layout makes
room for two staterooms and two heads- a very uncommon find in a yacht
such as this. Entering the cabin from the teak-decked cockpit, there is a
large convertible "U-shaped" dinette to starboard. This dinette not
only converts into a double berth, it also can easily be converted into a
fore-and-aft facing "true" dinette- it all depends on the owner's
preference on any given day. Forward to starboard is the raised helm
station with twin Stidd chairs. The helm area also features a side door
to the deck, and a large "basement" below with more storage than
necessary. To port is the straight galley aft, with an "L-shaped" setee
(also raised) forward. Such a great use of space! Below to port is
the guest stateroom which features an athwartships double berth, hanging
locker, drawer storage, natural overhead lighting, and private "wet"
head. Forward at the bow is the master stateroom. This space is quite
large, and features a centerline queen berth with storage beneath, a
large hanging locker, plenty of drawer storage, overhead hatch with
screen and shade, flat screen TV with DVD player, and private entrance
to the master head. The master head is quite roomy and includes a stall
shower, vanity with sink and storage, and natural lighting. The
cabinetry is a beautiful cherry wood, while the cabin sole is a "teak
and holly" high pressure laminate with surface texture, which is very
hard to damage. Back Cove really hit the nail on the head with this
layout!
Electronics Package
"MARJOE II" comes outfitted with a complete Garmin electronics package, which includes:
- Two (2) Garmin GPSMAP 8000 series screens (radar/chart plotters, etc)
- Two (2) Garmin GHS 10 VHFS (mounted on both sides of console) with speakers

- Satellite TV system (there are 2 flat-screen TVs- one in master and one in salon)

Galley
