The 47 Bayliner Pilothouse is one of the most popular cruising boats of all time and with good reason! This model offers the perfect amount of interior and exterior room to spend extended time aboard and all in a package of less than 50 feet. Stepping onto the boat from the swim platform there is a transom door that opens to a good size aft deck/cockpit that receives shade and protection from the extended boat deck above. On "Proctodynia" the owner added an enclosure to this area increasing its use no matter the weather. Done in Navy blue the enclosure features U-zip windows with screens for a perfect back porch breeze without the bugs! Moving in from the aft deck you enter the spacious and open salon. Natural light abounds and soft goods done in neutrals which accent the warm cabinetry and woodwork. The salon features two barrel chairs to port and a large L-shaped settee to starboard with a leafed table that functions for both cocktails and dining. The current owner has again improved on this area with a nicely done custom cabinet made to house the LCD Salon TV. The TV pops-up at the touch of a button on an electronic lift when in use and then retracts cleanly into the cabinet when not being watched. Forward and to the starboard in the salon is a wetbar with icemaker, liquor cabinet, sink and a built in blender. The wetbar has a solid surface countertop that matches the galley countertops. The galley is to port and allows the chef to still be in the thick of conversation as it opens to the salon which also allows for plenty of natural light. The galley has wood floors and solid surface countertops which accent the white cabinetry. The galley was customized to have a refrigerated wine cooler under counter (thanks to the room provided by the updated TV cabinet in the salon). The galley has a great suite of appliances including updated refrigerator/freezer, Whirlpool Microwave, trash compactor, three burner stovetop and oven.
Three steps up from the salon is the raised pilothouse providing a commanding and protected lower helm. The pilothouse features a wraparound helm forward with captain's chair and a wrap around raised settee aft and to port. The settee provides great visibility forward for companion and guests and is serviced with a leafed table as well. The settee has a clever walkthrough that allows pilothouse doors to the side decks on both the port and starboard. An interior stairway in the pilothouse leads to the flybridge with second helm and plenty of lounge and settee space. The upper helm features a new Garmin 15" 7215 color display with gps/chartplotter, Garmin radar, and backup camera. The helm and lounge area are protected by a beautifully done hardtop by Atlantic Towers. The hardtop accents the lines of the boat and features overhead speakers and lighting. A full enclosure was added at the time making this a very useable upper helm in a variety of weather conditions. The hardtop does have breakaway bases so it could be removed/lowered for certain passages that require a much reduced clearance. The boat deck aft of the hardtop allows for lounging in the sun on chaise lounges but does have a davit system if carrying a tender above is preferred.
The sleeping quarters and heads are forward of the salon and an in companionway cabinet houses the washer/dryer. The guest stateroom is to port and features a large double berth. Opposite and to starboard is the guest head that features a Vacuflush toilet and stall shower. Forward is an extremely large master stateroom with a centerline queen berth and abundant locker space. The master has an open configuration that allows for a settee and changing area to port that actually converts to a set of bunks which can act as a third sleeping area when the need arises. The master head is quite large and again features a Vacuflush toilet, shower and even a bath tub!
The foredeck of "Proctodynia" is accessed from the pilothouse doors and allows for safe and easy line handling as well additional storage and seating.
The Bayliner 4788 Pilot House Motoryacht combines comfort, an elegant line, and luxury features. The large bridge deck, with its fully-appointed helm and generous lounge seating, allows captain and guests to enjoy the view together. The 4788 features a wide lounge seat sculpted into the foredeck for sunning, a large transom door for easy access to the broad boarding platform, and generous side decks with grab rails for extra security. The master suite includes a large double berth, twin hanging lockers, a separate dressing room with settee that converts to upper and lower bunks, and a private bath with large vanity and enclosed tub. The midship stateroom offers another a double berth and across the companionway is a second bath complete with shower. The 4788 features a fully equipped electric galley, large salon windows, and unencumbered movement throughout the vessel.
