Overview

MAREA blends simplicity with refinement. She features the latest trends in contemporary design to each of its living spaces, both below and above deck, she boosts the true pleasures of yachting.

Beneteau designers lowered the cockpit to have the whole boat on nearly the same level with two small steps to the interior.

Designed with 3 specific zones, the outdoor cockpit area for swimming, lounging , or sailing; the interior dining , relaxing , and galley area and farther forward the staterooms for sleeping.

All the machinery is below the cockpit so even with the generator running or underway you cannot hear it from the owner's stateroom.

Accommodations

The Sense 50 has a unique interior layout with all the accommodations forward.  The owners cabin is in the bow of the boat and features a large island queen with drawers below.  There are 2 large windows built into the hull that provide light and views from the sleeping area.  There are also 2 hanging lockers.  Above is a large hatch for light and ventilation.  The cabin is finished in alpi fruitwood.

Moving aft to starboard is the owners head with en suite shower. The head features an electric toilet, vanity, sink, and mirror.  It also features plenty of opening lockers for storage.

Across to port is the guest stateroom.  This is a double with convenient access to the guest head and shower.  There is a large hanging locker and pull out drawers under the bed for storage. A window provides light and views.

The third cabin holds an over and under for guests or crew. It is located midship across from the guest stateroom. It also has access to the guest head from the hallway.  This cabin also has a large window in the hull.

All cabins are fully air conditioned.

Cockpit

The cockpit is very well designed for activities while at anchor or under sail. 

While at anchor, the transom can be dropped for easy access to the ocean. A stainless steel board ladder aids getting back on board and there is a hot and cold shower tucked away for a quick rinse off.

With a beam of over 15 feet, there is plenty of room to lounge or sun bathe. To starboard is the cockpit table that has three positions. The table lowers electrically to make a large sunning area or raises for cockpit dining.The boat has full complement of cockpit cushions.

When sailing the boat is controlled from the dual helms with custom seating that is used when sailing or can be swung out of the way when at anchor.

All the controls and electronics are right there on the pedestal within easy reach. With a powerful bow thruster and and 75 hp diesel engine, the response is excellent.

Under sail,  the sails are are easy to control with electric winches and self tacking jib. The boat is easily handled by a couple. For safety, the mainsheet is up on the arch above the entrance to the boat.Also the transom pulls up when underway to keep out a following sea.

This arch is also where the dodger and Bimini attach to provide sun protection when desired.
