Overview

I sold this yacht a few years ago and she was in great shape! New seller has put a lot of love and a lot of money into making her upgraded, more comfortable and in excellent condition. (PDF file of yard work and upgrades available to qualified brokers and buyers, over 225kwith engine, paint hull, deck, masts, electronics, service, sails, heads etc!) Personal issues force a quick sale of the best Whitby style available. She is a Center cockpit with comfortable accommodations and space. Shoal draft center boarder with excellent performance and safety.

Accommodations

Center cockpit cutter design by Whitby and modified by Harold Oldak and Ed Moulin for better performance and accommodations. My Joy features an aft deck with lazerettes, 2 companionways with sliding hatch, V berth forward, Galley to port and navigation to starboard with freezer, electric panel and walk thru to aft cabin. V shaped settees and filler make up a double berth, private enclosed head to port of aft master stateroom. Main salon has settees to port and starboard with new cushions and dining table offset to port. Enclosed head and locker forward of the mast and V berth with a privacy bulkhead. Repainted overhead with teak battens, teak and holly sole and varnished teak cabinetry throughout.

Nordac in boom batten mainsail, Nordac 113% jib, Schaefer 1100 furler, WITH HARKEN FURLER, Cutter JIB withSchaefer 1100 furler Leisure furl boom, Fore Spar vang, masts repainted and hardware rebed and replaced, most new running rigging, new lifelines, standing rigging and hardware repaired or replaced as recommended,2 Barient #24ST 2 speed electric, 2 Lewmar #30ST on coaming, Lewmar #30ST main sheet winch, Lewmar #16ST traveler, Barient #21 jib halyard, Lewmar #8 cunningham, Lewmar #30 main halyard, Harken 44 electric halyard winch under dodger.

Machinery

Ford Lehman fully removed serviced and repainted and engine room area, new engine gauges, new hot water heater, holding tanks and hoses and new heads aft electric, sink and shower fixtures, fuel tanks polished and checked and repaired, new fresh and salt water wash downs, Oil change pump,  emergency intake pump off engine, 6 new 6 volt batteries, New electrical panel and 110 volt and 12 volt wiring, 2 alternators, 30 amp Charles battery charger and a separate inverter charger with link 2000, new battery switch, Bose speakers and Sony stereo, back up bilge pump.

Galley

 Hillenrange gimbaled three burner stove and oven, Grunet freezer, new Stainless steel countertop, new reefer Sea Frost BD/XP, new SS sink, salt water pump at sink.

Deck Equipment

All new deck hatch Lexan, painted hull and decks and remove and re-bed old hardware, handrails and hatches and install new where needed, Fair and paint bottom Dark Blue Hydro Cote, Deck hatch forward, Two opening port lights, Three deck hatches in main salon, Four opening port lights, companionway entry, Four cowl vents on dorade boxes and six opening port lights in aft cabin. Neilson NZ windlass with chain gypsy, raw water wash down, aft and bow fresh water wash down, SS dinghy davits, New cockpit cushions, hydraulic backstay adjuster, 35 lb. Danforth with 170 ft. 3/8” chain, 35 lb. Danforth with 200 ft. ¾” Nylon rode and 25’ of chain, custom stainless steel and teak swim platform with removable ladder, Teak bow pulpit seat, Side Kick Bow thruster, New Centerboard, Dual propane tanks, Zodiac deck mount life raft.
