Overview

The Bristol 35.5's combine the classic design of Ted Hood with the meticulous craftsmanship of Bristol Yachts in a comfortable and elegant cruiser-racer. Bristol 35.5s are very popular for good reason -- they are extremely well built, have excellent sailing characteristics, very comfortable accommodations, and above all, beautiful lines! "Takarabune" is the highly sought after keel/centerboard version of this classic which provides a minimum of draft of only 3’-9” with the board up when trying to find that perfect anchorage.

Accommodations

V-berth forward.  Outboard and above the berth are large storage compartments with cane insert sliding doors.  To starboard is a hanging locker and to port is a door to the head.  An overhead hatch and two opening ports provide light and ventilation.  The head compartment with marine toilet and holding tank and Y valve, counter with sink, pressure water and storage cabinets are all immediately aft of the forward cabin.

A second entry to the head is to port just forward of the amidships bulkhead.  Mounted on that bulkhead is the teak, drop-leaf dining table which lowers to single or double width to accommodate more family or guests.  To port and starboard in the main cabin are settees that convert to berths, with the port becoming a double.  Book shelves and lockers are  above and outboard of the settees, while additional storage is behind and below them.  There is a quarter berth aft to port with the nav station at it's forward end.  Aft to starboard is the galley.

Galley

The GALLEY is to starboard and features an L-shaped galley with storage above and below. Hot and cold pressure water, a fresh water foot pump. It has two drawers under the ice box and a compartment under the sink and a custom drop-down teak table forward of the sink, adding to the convenience of the galley. Aft is a  Force-10 gimbaled 3-burner propane stove with oven, topped with retractable filler for extra counter space. Outboard are storage shelves with attractive caned sliding doors. The ice box is large and well insulated.....Refrigeration: Grunert with freezer. 6 gallon Raritan hot water tank 2010
