Overview

This amazing steel vessel was launched by Kristen Yachts in 1994 in Sidney, British Columbia, just outside Victoria on Vancouver Island. She is a 52’ all steel Bruce Roberts designed motorsailor with a raised salon and fully enclosed pilothouse. Currently sailed by renowned author Christine Kling, and her husband, who is a former diesel mechanic and is meticulous about his boat, "Learnativity" comes compete with two offices where you can get your work done in peace while exploring the world.

She has traveled over 35,000 nautical miles since she was purchased from the original owner in 2005, and her most recent passage was from the Marshall Islands to Fiji in 2015. Accommodations

The forward cabin is an office/stateroom with a private head, then there is a galley with new commercial grade stainless countertops, Force Ten gimbaled stove, top-loading refrigerator & freezer (DC), and plenty of storage amidships. The galley has its own dinette table & seating for 4 adults.

From the galley you go up three steps to the raised salon with a chart table desk and six amazingly deep teak drawers on starboard side and a U shaped wrap around settee on the port. Views are great out the 270 degrees of wrap around 16mm glass windows. Then there is the ladder up into cockpit and to starboard a passageway to the aft cabin.

Heading back to the aft cabin, there are two sea bunks to starboard and a full utility room to port that is plumbed and ready for washer & dryer and now used for massive storage to port in this passage.

The aft all teak cabin has a walk-around queen-size berth, five hanging lockers, and tons of drawers.

On the port side is the aft head with a full sit down bathtub and stand up shower! Through the aft head you enter the workshop side of the engine room where there is full standing headroom and a long workbench with vise, drill press, massive tool storage and the 120 HP Cummins engine and 5.6kW Northern Lights generator.

There is access all around the engine, including standing room on the port side and sitting height on starboard side.

From Raymarine instruments and autopilot to radar to AIS transceiver to solar panels and wind generator, air conditioning, Fusion stereo, and more, this boat is truly fitted out with everything needed to leave for comfortable and safe bluewater cruising.
