Caliber boats have long had a reputation for sea kindliness, build quality, speed and comfortable accommodations. The design provides excellent performance and sea worthiness for coastal cruising or ocean crossings. The solid fiberglass hull (no coring) is stiff and stable carrying most of its beam well aft like modern boats making for generous room below. It's a big 33 footer! Otter's owner of the last 18 years has sailed her gently putting low hours on her excellent condition Yanmar diesel. Due to health reasons he now needs to sell Otter which he believes to be in excellent condition. Click on "Full Specs" for more info, photos and experts comments.
Forward cabin is a traditional 7" long V-berth with a head just aft to starboard. The head has two doors, one from the fore cabin and one from the main salon. Opposite the head is a cedar lined hanging locker. A bulkhead mounted, twin leaf table to starboard folds down for dining. The starboard settee converts to a berth that sleeps two. The port settee sleeps one and has cabinets above and storage outboard. The galley is aft to port. Opposite the galley is an aft quarter that includes the nav station, locker and a berth for two. A closing panel and door turns this area into a private cabin.

Bluewater Boats: "With a loyal following the Caliber 33 is an old favorite with a big boat interior in a small package....a world class yacht and is considered an excellent value on the used market....a high standard of build quality is clearly visible on the boat"
Sailing: "A used boat sleeper, this little big boat elicits strong owner loyalty....The 33's hull and deck joint is one of the best I've seen....Quality material and hardware are used throughout the boat, a key reason why older 33's have aged very well...a high quality boat...It will stand up to a blow and hold up to the rigors of the cruising life. It's an ideal small boat for a Caribbean sabbatical; it was made for the trade winds. With prices ranging from $45,000 to $75,000 it is also a good value."
Practical Sailor: "All of the owners we heard from were "satisfied" One called the 33 his favorite boat over six decades of sailing....The 33 was among the quietest boats we've sailed in 5' Buzzard's Bay slop, the creaks and groans that come with torquing and pounding in a seaway were absent....Time and again, owners call the 33 "agile" "nimble" and "lively"....It is built well. In fact, compared to most production boats today, it is overbuilt. Someone had to pay for the materials that went into her. As a used boat that should make her something of a bargain."
