Accommodations As you step down three steps through the companionway, first impression is that this is a serious yacht designed with function in mind. The interior is mostly open with a bulkhead forward to the Vee berth and head. The Navigation Station is located under the companionway steps with a complete electronics setup including a SSB, Simrad N557 Radar,Garmin EchoMapDV Chartplotter, VHF Radio, Stereo, Speed, Depth, Wind Direction, DC Panel, Barometer and Clocks. This setup makes it easy for the Captain to keep an eye on the electronics and pop up through the companionway to have a look around. The engine is just behind the Navigation Station with access from both sides. Batteries are aft secured in a sealed compartment. Sea Berths are on both sides of the engine along with access to storage in the stern of the vessel. Moving forward there are two settees, port and starboard with storage under and behind. The settee cushions are in storage. Just forward on the Portside is the gally with a Force 10 Two Burner Stove and Oven which is gimballed and has storage below. There is a single SS sink with plenty of storage in the adjacent cabinet and below the sink. On the Starboard side is a refrigerator/freezer with a water cooled Glacier Bay Compressor. There is more storage in this area. The forward cabin has a double berth with storage below the berth. Line storage is arranged on both sides of the cabin with a composting head, watermaker and heater mounted on the bulkhead.

Broker's Comments The current owner (27 years) of this Contessa 39 has keep this vessel in excellent condition. He has sailed with his children on the great lakes, solo sailed offshore and continued to tweak this vessel for safety, speed and comfort as an ocean going yacht. It is dry, clean and appears to be very solid. As a broker, I find that sailors who want to "solo" or 'race" are always trying to convert a cruising yacht to meet their needs. With this yacht, no conversion needed, she is already to go! No need to find a mate to sail with you, just take off and enjoy all the oceans have to offer! Its amazing to see a vessel like this offered for under $60,000! Very afforabable! Live the Dream! Call today for more information! |
