Broker's Comments:

I took a ride with the owner on 7/7/2023. There were the two of us on board and about 1/2 tank of fuel. The temperature was 85 degrees with a light breeze. At 4400 rpm the boat hit 39 knots and 5000 rpm it hit 44 knots. Clearly, the 250hp engines are plenty to power this 285 Freedom!

The 285 Freedom is a great all-around family boat that can do it all- Fishing, Tubing, Day Cruising, Visiting a Sandbar.  Grady White redesigned the 285 for 2020 with a higher windshield, electric helm seats and electric aft facing lounges. Fishabilty is enhanced with a 35 gallon livewell, two insulated fishboxes and a Lewmar Pro Fish windlass. For tubing there is a retractable pylon and a transom shower for washing down your gear.

The owner opted for the 250hp outboards to gain more fuel economy. He reports that drop in top end performance is minimal and is far outweighed by the savings in fuel consumption.

Electronics include a 12" Simrad chartplotter with an 18" radome, Fusion stereo and Icom VHF.

There is a full eisenglass enclosure for the cockpit.
