Overview

Aluminium Ketch, Deneb of Rye, built in 1995 by Royal Huisman Shipyard, designed by Mr. Henry A. Scheel. Dimensions 20.85 x 5.40 x 2.70m. Headway 28m, displacement 43 tons, ballast 13,5 tons. Teak deck planking of 12 mm. Scheel keel. 3 cabins. 125 hp MTU engine.

A classic hull, whose sleek lines give Deneb of Rye the elegant appearance of a traditional sailing yacht. Her 3 separate cabins ensure the owner and guests have all the comfort they need. The furling head and staysails, the hydraulic boomvang and backstay adjuster, together with a powered Lewmar winch package, make sure she can be sailed in a comfortable way. Royal Huisman Shipyard gave her a complete refit in 2003.

Accommodations

Interior designed by John Munford. Classic teak woodwork. Spacious saloon with 2 sea bunks. Owners cabin with double bed and bathroom with Waterflash toilet and shower. Guest cabin with two beds, bathroom with Waterflash toilet, which is also used as a daytoilet, and shower. Crew/guest cabin with own Waterflash toilet and shower. Webasto heating, Sea Recovery watermaker 95 ltr/hr. Fully equipped galley with trash compactor, custom built RHS main engine driven and inverter driven coldbank system, microwave/oven, extractor, washer.

Hydrofurl fore stay and cutter stay systems. Hydraulic Mastjack for main mast, hydraulic backstay cylinder, hydraulic boomvang for main boom and mizzen boom. Cupsheet, Tasmania, Gemini and Spectra running rigging.

Total sail area 270 m2.

New Hood main sail, staysail, Yankee and MPS, Hood Mizzen sail and Spi. 14 Lewmar winches of which 5 hydraulic.

All sails have been washed checked and if necessary repaired so there in good condition.
