The rebuilt Perkins 4-107 41 hp diesel engine provides plenty of power to motor this yacht as needed. All fiberglass exterior decks reduce maintenance while the main cabin features a teak and holly sole with the forward and aft cabins sole fiberglass. Sails include Dacron jib, main and mizzen and a nylon cruising spinnaker. Kaleidoscope is a solid sailing platform ready for a new owner to sail her.

Irwin 37 Walkthrough

Boarding Kaleidoscope can be accomplished at amidships both port and starboard right into the center console. Large walkways provide easy access around her deck to easily accommodate sail management and deck operations. Entrance to the main cabin can be found through a companionway forward in her cockpit. Once inside the main cabin you will find a large dinette to starboard that will seat up to six and will also convert into a double berth. To port in the main cabin is the galley with all the necessary appliances and features for cruising. Forward and to starboard of the main cabin is the guest wet head and further forward in the bow is a cabin with double v-berth. Proceeding aft of the main cabin is a navigation desk for chart plotting and electronics to port and the engine compartment to starboard. Furthest aft is the second stateroom with two single berths, a small seating area between the berths and another private wet head.

Irwin 37 Accommodations

This sailing yacht can comfortably sleep six with two in the forward v-berth cabin, two on the dinette converted to a double berth and two in the aft cabin. Two heads can easily support up to six passengers.

Irwin 37 Salon

The main cabin of this sailing yacht features the dinette, which converts to a double berth, the galley, the guest head, chart table with electronics and the engine compartment. 

To starboard, the large dinette table is covered in Formica and the cushions are fabric and in very good condition. Mounted under the tabletop is a Little Litton microwave oven. Two Willey rain/spray proof windows are above the dinette to starboard and there is storage under each bench.

The galley is located to port in the main cabin and features the following equipment:

  • Magic Chef gimbaled gas three burner stove with oven and counter top filler for when not in use
  • Isotherm 12 VDC refrigerator with small freezer compartment
  • Formica counter tops
  • Stainless steel sink with hot & cold water
  • Ice box under the chart table aft of the galley
  • 3 - Fire extinguishers onboard

The sole between the galley and dinette is teak and holly while the rest of the sole throughout the boat is fiberglass covered with carpet.

Aft of the galley is a chart table with the following additional equipment:

  • Standard Horizon Intrepid VHF radio with DSC
  • Seafarer 3 depth finder
  • Beede Depth Talker verbal depth announcer
  • Goldstar GS916 radar

Irwin 37 Forward Stateroom

The forward cabin features a large V-berth with two piece mattress, a large hanging locker to port of the guest head, a set of drawers to port and a small storage cabinet to starboard. Each of the cabinets also has a storage shelf on top of it. Two portlight on each side of the boat, a wall mounted fan and a large hatch in the overhead provide natural light and fresh air flow. There are two brass oil lamps mounted on the aft bulkhead of the space and a Craig AM/FM cassette radio with two speakers is dedicated to this cabin.

Irwin 37 Forward Stateroom Head

The forward head is a wet head configuration and features:

  • a Raritan Crown electric flush toilet
  • fiberglass vanity with stainless steel sink and faucet
  • shower hose with sprayer
  • large medicine cabinet
  • portlight to starboard
  • solar powered vent in the overhead

The large aft cabin features:

  • two single berths, one to port and one to starboard
  • a bench seat between the berths along the aft bulkhead
  • an entertainment center with GPX 15" 12 VDC flat screen T.V.
  • a Sharp micro component stereo system behind the bench seat with 5 cd changer, AM/FM radio and cassette player with two speakers
  • a Transonic AM/FM/cassette radio with two speakers
  • two reading lights
  • two brass oil lamps
  • large hanging locker, under berth and bench seat storage caninets

The aft cabin private head is a wet head configuration and features:
