Kattyshack", a 1989 Island Packet 27 Center Board Cutter is a VERY BIG POCKET CRUISER with much more elbow room and storage than you would expect in a 27 footer.  She draws only 3'-8" and combined with her renowned construction will take you anywhere you want to go in comfort and safety.  And, don't be fooled by her cutter rig, truncated cabin and cruising weight, while not a J24, her performance will truly SURPRISE you even in the light winds of the Chesapeake.   A perfect cruising boat for a couple or family with Hot/Cold Pressure Water, Complete Galley, nice sized head and room to sleep 7.  A very clever fold up table that stores against the bulkhead gives the saloon the room for relaxing.  Her cockpit is also well designed and provides room for sailing, entertaining and snoozing.  Kattyshack has been well maintained and is well worth seeing.

Accommodations

There is a comfortable Vee Berth forward with a large opening hatch.  Aft of which on starboard is the roomy Head with commode, sink and pullout shower, wet locker, and an opening port.  Across on port from the head is a large hanging locker.  Continuing aft is the Main Saloon.  There is a cleverly designed bulkhead stored table on starboard side of saloon that is out of the way when not needed making the Saloon seem so much larger than most larger boats. The starboard settee converts to a double berth.  The settee on port is long enough to allow an adult to sleep.  The "L" shaped Galley is aft of the saloon on port with sink, ice box, and an upgraded two burner propane stove plus good counter space and storage.  The Companionway rises over the Engine Compartment with an access door under the steps.  It is centered and divides the Galley and the Quarterberth entrance.  The Quarterberth is large enough for a couple to sleep if they don't mind being close.  Finally, the Cockpit is long enough to accommodate your sailing crew, your guests and has the room for stretching out and napping.  A large engine access hatch is in the forward end of the cockpit sole that enables easy access to all of the mechanacals.  The IP27 is a very comfortable and safe pocket cruiser that seems much larger than 27' implies.
