Overview

The Swan 44 MK II has been consistently popular from the day the first boat was launched in 1989. Compared to the previous Swan 44 MK I, the 44 MK II sports a traditional family style and layout, but benefits from a long list of modifications and improvements that have helped to enhance what was seen by many as a design far ahead of her time. Simplicity plays an important role in her success: the clutter-free, spacious yet secure, aft cockpit is easy to work with a full crew. All her controls are led back to the cockpit, ensuring that she is as easy to handle shorthanded as a considerably smaller boat. Indeed, many see this as the root of her appeal, providing an easily managed boat with the considerable space and luxury below decks that befits much larger yachts.

Offered to co-brokers on a commission split of 50/50.

Broker's Comments

Obsession was sold new by us and delivered in the spring of 1999. Very high cruising spec from the factory, she has air conditioning, generator, electric winches, upgraded Technautics fridge and freezer, and blue granite fleck Corian in the galley. She has done 2 trips to the Caribbean and has cruised the East coast of the states. Original owner, with very light use in recent years. There is brand new canvas and an unused set of new sails, together with a leisure furl furling boom.
