Overview

The 2012 Ocean Alexander 78 ALEXANDRA represents one of the finest motor yachts in her class. Her modern lines is an Ed Monk Jr. design finished off with a stunning Destry Darr interior. Powered by twin Caterpillar C18 ACERT engines (Approx. 397 hrs), she carries a three-stateroom layout plus crew quarters, making for an ideal cruising yacht, whether for an owner operator or crewed yacht.

ALEXANDRA's spacious flybridge, complete with a factory installed hardtop, allows for plenty of outdoor space. Between the well-appointed bar and the Creston entertainment center, one would have difficulty finding a flybridge in this class that is better suited to entertaining. Other noteworthy features include Zero Speed Trac Stabilizers, upgraded bow and stern thrusters, Yacht Controller with dual band remote, KVH Tracvision, and much more.

Accommodations/Interior Decor

ALEXANDRA features a three stateroom layout that can accommodate up to six plus a crew of two. The master stateroom and (2) guest staterooms are accessed by a port side stairwell located in the main salon just adjacent to the galley. Travel down stairs to an open foyer with access to an over/under washer & dryer.

Aft of the foyer is the full beam master stateroom, featuring starboard cedar closets outboard and a centerline king sized berth. Accompanying bedside tables and reading lights will make nighttime bookworms out of virtually anyone. Flanking the master berth to port are beautifully crafted drawers with abundant storage and a settee to starboard. His and her heads were an added upgrade aft, accessed from either side of the berth with a large shower separating the two heads.The master stateroom is equipped with a complete entertainment system, including a 42" LCD TV with surround sound.

Moving forward of the Master Stateroom to port is the first of two guest staterooms with twin double berths featuring an ensuite bath. The forward VIP stateroom has a queen size berth and ensuite bath. The two guest staterooms are each equipped with a flatscreen TV with satellite access.

Main Salon

Walking into the main salon on ALEXANDRA through the electric stainless steel-framed doors one is instantly struck by the attention to detail and abundant natural light throughout. Having the dining table forward opens up the salon, creating an ultra-comfortable space with a large L-shaped settee, oversized ottoman, pop-up TV on a remote lift and a wet bar with glass storage and ice-maker. An impressive audio visual system, boasting a touchscreen Creston system and surround sound speakers, is guaranteed to take "movie night" to an entirely different level. 

The day head can be found on the port side easily accessible from the main salon or galley.

The Nautical Structures hydrualic davit (rated at 1750 lbs) allows for a launching off the starboard side of the yacht.

Lower Helm/Dinette

Forward of the galley is the lower helm station of ALEXANDRA with a single electric Stidd helm seat for the captain. Outfitted with Furuno electronics, three multipurpose display screens, Caterpillar controls, stabilizers, as well as bow and stern thrusters, the captain will have a range of state-of-the-art tools at his disposal. This comprehensive electronics suite is duplicated on the upper helm. To both port and starboard are watertight doors leading to the walkaround decks, extending the captain's visibility in tight quarters.
