Overview
BROKER’S COMMENTS
Icenic had a major refit at Fox’s during 2007 and has been regularly updated annually by her current owner. She benefits from a recent electronics overhaul, including a new Onan generator, new autopilot, fridge and lighting package to name but a few of the upgrades.
The Oyster 55 is a classic long distance cruiser with winning ways having won Antigua race week in 1989 and 1991.

Icenic last taken out of water July 2015, double coat antifoul, hull polished, all anodes replaced and stopcocks checked.
Sailed from UK to Italy 2009 since berthed in Italy, last 4 years in Tropea (Calabria) at secure marina.

GENERAL Six berths in three cabins, two double cabins, and one twin. Interior joinery finished in teak and teak faced ply. Designed to be modern and co-ordinated, whilst remaining practical and durable at sea. Essential features include sculpted fiddles and grabrails, ‘shadow-gap’ joints between panels and Oyster custom knobs for lockers and drawers. Cabin sole in teak and holly. Surfaces in galley and heads in inlaid teak border/composite, coloured ivory/blue. Headlining in off-white vinyl. New Alcantara upholstery in forward cabin, matched upholstery now throughout three cabins in camel alcantara, 2009. Lee screens on sea berths. Curtains / blind system to windows in all cabins, some new in 2009. Oceanair skyscreens to all deck hatches. Flyscreens to all opening hull and coachroof ports. Electric fans in all cabins.
FORECABIN With offset double berth, including new mattresses and covers (2009) and settee. Hanging wardrobe, dressing table and many drawers and lockers.
TWIN CABIN To starboard with two tiered berths, including new mattresses and covers (2009), dressing table, hanging wardrobe, drawers lockers and shelves.
HEADS To port with large porcelain washbasin, Sealand Vacuflush electric toilet, and separate shower stall with automatic drainage.
SALOON With superb dining table to starboard, opening to seat up to 10 people and incorporating drawers and lockers within the pedestal. Three seater settee and coffee table to port. Large sideboard incorporates drinks cabinet and glass stowage.
NAVIGATION AREA Adjoins saloon on port side. Full sized chart table with separate chart drawer under, and swivel armchair. Excellent fiddled stowage, drawers and bookshelves. Matt black instrument console. Sea berth built-in behind. Oilskin locker behind main companionway.
GALLEY To starboard with excellent stowage in teak cupboards and drawers.
SINKS Twin Franke stainless steel sinks. Electric sink drain. Stand-by fresh water and sea water pump.
