GENERAL                            

Six berths in three cabins, excluding the saloon. Using the two saloon settees can provide an additional two berths.

Eight sea berths have lee screens fitted with lanyards to through-bolted eyes.

Interior joinery finished in quarter cut teak with styling specially designed for Oyster by Dick Young Designs to celebrate the new Millennium.

                                           Designed to be modern and coordinated, whilst remaining practical and durable at sea. Essential features include sculpted fiddles and grab rails, ‘shadow-gap’ joints between panels, solid shaped-teak and stainless steel grab handles and Oyster custom knobs for lockers and drawers. All drawers use metal runners, which give extremely smooth operation.

All horizontal galley work surfaces are covered with Formica laminate in ‘Champagne Haze Stucco #1793’.

SALOON                             

Access to the saloon from the companionway is down a removable set of teak steps, which are shaped and fitted with stainless steel handrails.

The deck saloon is extremely light and airy with seven windows, of which the forward outboard pair is opening. A feature opening hullport each side allows visual contact with the outside whilst seated and contributes to the great feeling of space and light in the saloon.

Featuring an L-shaped settee area and table on the port side with fixed fiddle around saloon table upper surface.

To starboard is a two-seater settee, which extends beneath the forward counter top into a trotter box, forming a useful sea berth with lee cloth.

The saloon table is designed to form, in its closed position, an occasional table, which is mounted on a very substantial pedestal base. Stowage for bottles and a single drawer are incorporated into the pedestal. This table has a fold over upper leaf, which opens onto a removable support strut to allow both sides of the saloon to be used for seating whilst dining.

The saloon includes a fully equipped bar. Stowage for glasses is provided in a locker above the trotter box.

The port shelf, outboard of the settee is fitted out as a bookcase.

Incorporated into the accommodation are a number of grab rails, including one overhead in the saloon and one on the inboard fore and aft edge of the saloon tabletop.

NAVIGATION AREA              

The chart table area is forward facing at the aft starboard end of the saloon and is customised around the flush-mounted electronics and navigation equipment.

Provision for a retractable flat screen.

Within the chart table there is provision for stowage of half-folded Admiralty charts. Beneath are two drawers.

A bookshelf provides stowage for navigational books and almanacs.

GALLEY                               

A rubbish bin fitted inside locker door by the cooker.

Stowage for crockery in the locker at the aft end of the port saloon settee.

Plentiful storage.

SINKS                            

Twin stainless steel sinks that discharge directly overboard.

Manual freshwater foot pump.

COOKER/HOB                  

Gimballed Force 10 FT60451 cooker in stainless steel with 4 burners, grill and oven.

Electronic ignition system, protected by a flame failure gas cut-off device.

Fiddle rail around the top of the cooker, which incorporates a pair of adjustable clamping pan-holders.

Harbour lock and cooker crash bar.

REFRIGERATOR               

Frigomatic 12V DC refrigeration unit to front opening refrigerator with stainless steel door and removable wire shelves.

FREEZER                        

Waeco CFX40 freezer fitted to workshop.

ENGINE ROOM SPACE         

Located under the cockpit and galley sinks, the engine area is fully insulated.

Access for inspection and maintenance is via a large hinged door in the starboard utility workshop and a removable panel to port, beneath the galley sinks. These are all fitted with rubber sealing strips to minimise noise and are secured by flush fitting closers with fold down handles.

A door inboard of the navigator’s seat connects aft to the utility workshop/gear stowage locker beneath the starboard cockpit seat lid. Within this locker are six hooks for hanging oilskins.
