Overview

"Skana II" is a gorgeous blue-hulled Sabre 386, built out of Maine, USA. A classic-looking beauty designed with performance and offshore cruising in mind. She has two large cabins with a convertible settee to Port and long settee to Starboard to sleep 7 total. Gorgeous Cherry interior with teak and holly sole. Classic Main.

The typical 386 owner will not try to stow six months worth of canned goods aboard the boat, but they should be able to stow the essentials for an offshore passage." - Sailing Magazine

On Performance: "We saw 15 knots of wind from the west with gusts to 20 during the test sail and the deep-keel version of the 386, which draws 6 feet, 10 inches proved stiff and accelerated well in the puffs. She was easy to handle and felt sporty for a luxury cruising boat, seeming lighter than her actual weight. Sabre estimates a PHRF rating of 81, and it's not unreasonable to expect that a certain number of owners will be inspired to enter club races that they might avoid in another boat." - Sailing Magazine

Salon:

  • Description from Sailing Magazine: Unlike a number of modern designs, the 386's saloon settees can, in fact, be used for sleeping. On the port side this is facilitated by a hinged dining table that easily folds up out of the way, and clips to the bulkhead next to the hide-wrapped mast. On the starboard side the navigator uses the aft end of the settee as a seat, and on offshore passages, will be nudging a sleeping shipmate out of the way when he sits down at the aft-facing table. Also, the backrest for the navigator is a settee seatback cushion that does double duty and swings out ninety degrees from its normal position. The navigation table itself is adequately sized, and there is plenty of space to mount electronics. 
  • Ventilation & Lighting - Stainless steel opening hatches and ports, along with non-opening side ports bring plenty of light. All the hatches have shade and screens.
  • Dining Table - Hinged. Designed to be opened just by the port settee or fully Folds up against forward bulkhead and out of the way. 
  • Extra bedding -  6'5" settee berth to port which converts to a double
  • 6'4" headroom. 

Galley:

  • Stove & Oven - Stainless Steel Force 10 3-burner stove and oven. In great shape.
  • Microwave - Dometic, above stove.
  • Sinks - Scandvik polished stainless steel double galley sink. 
  • Refrigerator/Freezer - Split fridge and freezer with drop-in hatches; fridge section also has forward-loading hatch. 
  • Storage - Many lockers and drawers at eye-level and below sink. Well-equipped for a long voyage.

Aft Cabin:

  • Berth - In the aft cabin, the berth is oriented athwartships to provide a large 60″ x 80″ sleeping accommodation below the cockpit. Mattress is split to easily access systems underneath.
  • Ventilation - A large deck hatch over the head of the berth opens up the space overhead; smaller opening hatwach by entrance and S/S opening port. 
  • Storage - Cedar-lined hanging locker, plenty of counter space and nooks.
  • Lighting - Plenty of natural light from hatches, and many overhead lights and reading lights. 

Head:

  • Located just aft of the nav station is the head, with sink, toilet and stall shower.
  • Stall shower - Has acrylic door, seating, hand holds and towel racks, light and opening S/S port and overhead port.
  • Toilet - Quiet Flush Electric fresh water head. 
  • Vanity - Sink and mirror with solid surface material countertop
  • Storage - plenty of opening storage. 

Engine & Electrical

  • Yanmar 40 hp - fresh water cooled diesel with 2.72:1 reduction gear. Electrical shut-off. 
  • Propeller - 3-blade folding Max Prop
  • Servicing - Last major servicing was April 2013. Oil and coolant changed every season. Last oil change was September 2015. Have records for all servicing,
