Overview

Quality Sabre construction from a renowned Maine boatbuilder . The Sabre 28' is among the best of any 28-foot production boat on the market.The 28 MKII is recognized as one of Roger Hewson's best designs for sailing and cruising with family and friends.This Sabre model had a long and success run. Secondary bonding and attachment of bulkheads and structural members indicate a very well built boat. The Sabre 28 has accommodations for five people in two cabins with a minimum of 5' 11" headroom throughout. For a couple or a family this will make the perfect boat that won’t break the budget. Attractively priced to sell.

Accommodations

  • Accommodations for five people in two cabins with a minimum of 5' 11" headroom throughout.
  • There is a V-berth forward followed by an athwart ship head compartment and port and starboard settees in the main saloon.
  • The port side settee slides out to make a small double berth.
  • There is a port side quarter berth and starboard side galley at the after end of the main saloon. This includes a two burner CNG stove, deep stainless sink, ice box and lots of counter space.

Decks and Cockpit

The decks are hand laid fiberglass with nonskid deck surfaces molded in. Teak toe rails, grab rails, trim and capped cockpit coamings.  The cockpit is self bailing with large under-seat storage lockers.  There is a spray hood over the companionway hatch.  The keel is lead with stainless steel keel bolts.  The rudder is fiberglass with a stainless steel rudder post.
