Overview

Fundy Girl is styled to be reminiscent of a classic Royal Dutch Navy Admiral's Launch, Today she would more likely be enjoyed as a picnic boat (with overnighting amenities) or gentlemen's motor launch with eye-catching curvy lines and a wineglass finish. Professionally constructed in 2005 in fiberglass to modern standards, she spent most of her life in storage with little use. The current owner has made many recent upgrades to suit the Downeast coastal lifestyle and she is a pleasure to own and operate.

With a lobster boat style wheelhouse and her line protected prop cage, she also features new electronics, a top-of-the-line head, vibration reducing drive shaft system, economical diesel power - only 29 hours - electric windlass, a full keel, and generous comfortable seating for guests.

Fundy Girl is a great day boat that can be used for occasional overnights. She would also excel as a motor launch to ferry people and supplies to and from docks to moored yachts in the harbor or to island estates.

Vessel Walk Through

In general Fundy Girl was designed as a great day boat that can be used for occasional overnights.

Entering the large cockpit area you find a u-shaped seating for eight on teak built bench seats with soft vinyl cushions in white. All seating or sleeping areas feature soft white vinyl cushions. Storage is built into the seating platform.

Aft is the boarding platform with brass support/handrails for convenience in getting in and out of dinghies and loading and unloading of supplies.

The entire deck area from bow to stern is craftsman grade teak and you can be walked around the entire deck without stepping into the cockpit area. There is a substantial teak rub rail both attractive and functional for motor launch work.

Moving forward is the covered helm station with full teak detailing.

Through the cabin doors is a vee berth with storage below and the electric head compartment on starboard. All of the cabin areas are finished in teak wood with brass hardware and white seat cushions. There is also a storage/hanging locker, wrap around side shelving with LED ambient courtesy lighting and teak & holly sole.

Deck

The bow features electric windlass and all brass cleats. Delta Plow anchor with 60' of chain and 200' of rode.

Complete set of seat cushions for cockpit area and there is a removable cockpit table made of teak.

The forward helm cabin features wind screens that are split horizontally with the upper portion pivoting out for ventilation.

Electronics

New Garmin 740 integrated HD GPS/MAP/Radar/Depth/Fish Finder. Radar images will overlay onto the chart map. Radar is rated for 36 miles. New Richie Compass. New 2014 Garmin VHF 6x1700 with GPS and automatic distress location transmission. 8' VHF antenna.

Engine & Mechanical

Fundy Girl is powered by a Vetus 48hp Dutch made diesel engine with only 29 original engine hours. The full keel mounted bronze prop is protected from trap lines by a custom made S/S cage. The engine drive train is a AF 10-m gear with an Evolution Marine Shaft System (EMSS) which is a long-running, low maintenance oil-lubricated shaft system that significantly improves speed, propeller efficiency and fuel economy while reducing hull vibration and associated noise levels. This system needs no stuffing box. Wet exhaust with silencer.

Steering is hydraulic to the S/S rudder protected by the continuous keel. The keel front and foot have been additionally stiffened with Kevlar fiberglass layering.

The helm station features tachometer and oil pressure gauge and a single lever engine control. There is a remote control for the Lumar windlass at the helm along with port and starboard controls for the Lumar bow thruster(new 2014). One manual and two electric bilge pumps. The windlass has a self launching plow anchor.

The electric head is a Vetus pearlized china toilet, Model WCL2, push button automatic built-in bowl water fill, vacuum suction with macerator and Y valve.
