Overview

This two cabin Beneteau 381, designed by Berret Racoupeau is an excellent sailing boat. The roller furling mainsail was replaced in 2016 with a fully battened new Doyle mainsail. For easy flaking of the main a Doyle stack pack was installed as well. The engine is well maintained with 1575 hours on it. The cockpit is roomy, has cockpit cushions and for the Captain, there is a very comfortable Captain's chair. Down below there is plenty of room and the upholstery is in great shape.

Manufacturer Provided Description

The Oceanis 381 is a performance sailing yacht which corresponds well to Beneteau's philosophy on cruising. The standard mainsail is roller furling, but a classic mast is available. The furling drum for the genoa is positioned above the deck so that the area around the windlass is uncluttered. The shroud chainplates are well centered, guaranteeing an efficient sheeting angle while making it easier to move around the sidedecks, and the primary (self-tailing) winches are within arm's reach of the helmsman. The large cockpit has a steering wheel console, a table with flaps and lockers, mainsail track moved forward on the coachroof, molding for the extra wide sprayhood (option), sunbathing area forward, and a recessed windlass in the large anchor well. The Oceanis 381 comes in two versions: the owner's version with two large double cabins (three cabin optional) and L-shaped galley to starboard, and the charter version with lateral galley. Both give an exceptionally comfortable saloon for 6 to 8 people with natural lighting and ventilation systems. The cabinetry is in cherry stained mahogany and the lockers are fitted with cane work doors. The head compartment has a marine toilet, shower, and hot and cold pressurized water (an optional forward head compartment is also offered).
