Overview

Same lines and same designer as the classic Hinckley Bermuda 40. Some argue that this Bill Tripp design is superior to the B40 due to its longer waterline, wider beam, greater sail area, and more powerful auxiliary engine. "Chessel," (of the Chesapeake Bay) is a centerboard yawl with sweeping overhangs. She draws 4.2' with the centerboard up, for cruising the shallows, and 8.82' with the board down for serious offshore passages.

Chessel has been professionally maintained and is in beautiful condition. She is a gorgeous moderate displacement cruising boat, suitable for a couple or small family. She is well conceived with ample storage, generous tankage, an 8 foot centerboard keel and attached rudder with prop in aperture. This, combined with traditional lines, a beautiful mahogany interior, strong construction, wide decks and a split rig, makes this professionally maintained updated classic a truly unique beauty. Her new owner will be an exceptionally lucky sailor.

Accommodations

This vessel has a rich all-mahogany interior that makes you feel warm and safe in any weather.

Upon entering the companionway, you will find a u-shaped galley to port and an expansive chart table and navigation station to starboard. The nav station on this boat is much larger than on similar vessels, and can be used as a station for any type of work.

A u-shaped dinette to port seats 4 people, and 2 more can be seated comfortable on the settee to starboard.

Forward of the mast step, there is a large head to port and ample storage to starboard, including full hanging lockers. The v-berth is large and comfortable and includes an insert to make it into a full double bed.

The detail on this fine vessel is exceptional...you have to see it and enjoy it to fully appreciate it. Call me!
