The unsinkable legend that is Boston Whaler continues with the
305 Conquest, a heavily built 30-foot express designed for serious
anglers with a yen for quality. The 305 is a refinement of the
popular 295 Conquest (1999–2003) with a larger cockpit, an updated
interior, and a redesigned helm and transom. The Conquest’s
list of fishing features begins with plenty of rod storage (under the
gunwales and inside the cabin) and includes a 24-gallon transom
livewell, cockpit rigging station, two insulated in-deck fish boxes
with pump-outs, and an enormous hatch in the sole that provides
unprecedented access to the bilge. Visibility from the 305’s raised
bridge deck is excellent, and a comfortable lounge seat across
from the helm seats two guests. Below, the Conquest sleeps four
adults—two in the forward V-berth and two more in the midcabin
double berth. Cherrywood cabinets and faux granite counters highlight
the galley. Additional features include a bow pulpit, wide side
decks, and a hideaway bench seat that pulls out from the transom.
Note that a hardtop is standard.
