Overview
"Family Affair V" is simply put about the nicest Hatteras Motoryacht
that you will be able to find in this size and age range. She has been
thoroughly maintained, updated and cared for by a very knowledgeable
Hatteras enthusiast. Purchased by the current owner in 2010 here on
the Chesapeake Bay, she has been kept predominately on the Northern
Chesapeake (Bohemia River) under cover and in freshwater. The owner has
moved her down to the covered freshwater slips of Atlantic Yacht Basin
in Great Bridge, VA for the fall and winter where she continues to enjoy
the pampered life!
With features such as Naiad
Stabilizers, ABT Bow Thruster, New Canvas, New Dripless Shaft Seals,
Completely Updated Galley, Tastefully Redone Interior Decor, Perfect
Woodwork and numerous Mechanical Updates and Upgrades this is a rare opportunity to buy a truly beautiful classic Hatteras!
Accommodations & Layout
"Family Affair V" has about as much volume (interior and exterior) that
you will ever find in a yacht in the mid 50 foot range. Her traditional
Hatteras flush deck design allows for three full levels of indoor and
outdoor space. Her main deck level features wide walk around side
decks, a bow with sunpad, dunnage boxes and seating. On both port and
starboard side decks you will find doors leading into the
pilothouse/lower helm area which then opens up to an extremely large and
comfortable salon. The salon area is bathed in natural light with
large windows and a 360 degree view. Aft of the salon is one of the
"stars of the show" in the very comfortable aft deck. Accessed via
glass sliders that allow the salon to flow comfortably into this space,
the aft deck is covered by the bridge overhang yet has full new
canvas/Isenglass side curtains making for a great indoor outdoor "back
porch" feel. It is a terrific place to relax, dine al fresco or sip a
cup of morning coffee.
The
upper deck is accessed via a ladder in the pilothouse and features a
commanding view for the upper helm. A captain and companion seat along
with a wrap around u-shaped settee provide plenty of seating options and
a table with storage beneath make this a great entertaining area or
place to relax underway. A new bimini provides shade to the area and
the seating and helm have their own covers when not in use. Aft of the
settee is the boat deck which accommodates a RIB inflatable and davit
crane for launching.
The
lower deck is accessed via a stairway that leads down to a large
totally updated galley and dinette for four. Forward of the galley is a
guest stateroom with upper and lower bunks, private head with stall
shower, abundant locker and drawer space and a locker with a stackable
washer and dryer. Aft of the galley are the twin engine rooms and a
second guest stateroom and head. This stateroom features two twin
berths and cedar lined lockers along with additional drawer storage.
The second guest head also features a stall shower. Aft is the master
stateroom which is full beam and has a walk around queen berth, his and
her locker and drawer space and a private head with a third stall
shower. - Air Conditioning and Heating with New Coastal Climate Digital Controls
