The 35 manufactured from 1987 to 1994 continued & improved the IP cruising design philosophy incorporating a modern full keel with a spade rudder and shoal draft. She is powered by a masthead, cutter rig and a 3 cylinder Yanmar FWC diesel. With private aft & fore cabins, a really large galley, a head with a separate shower plus lots of storage and elbow room, 35s are very comfortable in all kinds of conditions.  With a great ballast/displacement ratio, the flexibility of her cutter rig, the IP 35 performs exceptionally well and has won numerous competitive offshore cruising competitions.  No matter your sailing style, you will not be disappointed.

Accommodations & Walkthru

 

The Island Packet 35 is known for her exceptional livability, common sense design and cavernous storage areas.  Beginning at the bow is a large Vee Berth with a Head aft that has entrances from both the Vee Berth and Saloon.  The Saloon has facing settees (the port side converts to a double berth), & a dining table that stores against the bulkhead when not in use,  There are three separate hanging lockers providing plenty of storage for the cruising sailor. The large "U" shaped Galley is to starboard of the Companionway and is one of the best ever designed! It features a huge refrigerated ice box & double SS sinks plus great storage. The private Quarterberth is on the port of the companionway and has a hanging locker, cubbies for storage, opening ports and an opening overhead hatch. The cockpit is large enough for sailing, entertaining and napping.
