Bob Perry Freeport 36 "Plan B" Cruiser

All The Right Elements For Serious Cruising

Preliminary Listing.  Complete Photos Coming Soon.

Decision is an excellent example of one of Bob Perry's most famous designs. Being a Perry design, the Freeport 36 plan “B” is not only a comfortable layout, but she is an excellent sailor as well.  The build quality and attention to detail is far above most modern production boats of today.  The Freeport 36B would later become the blueprint for the legendary Passport 40 design, which shares almost the same layout.

The generous 12’ beam and large mid-ship master stateroom with pullman style berth makes this a wonderful couples cruiser.   She stands apart from other classic designs with a large well lit salon, 6’5” headroom, a well equipped and generous galley, and a unique fold down transom for boarding from a dinghy.  The fold down transom is a fantastic feature that is usually not found on classic cruisers.

Come see for yourself why the Freeport 36B is one of my personal favorite designs.

Vessel Walkthrough

Comfortable and well-planned interior describe this Freeport 36. A roomy live aboard cruiser with a beautiful mahogany interior, teak and holly sole and large salon windows all around that let in plenty of light.  The 12' beam salon has 6'5" headroom and features an "L" shaped dinette with a fold-away table to port and a sofa style settee starboard. Both fold down to give you 2 additional double sleeping berths. The full galley features top loading fridge/freezer and 3 burner propane stove/oven. A portside Double Pullman Berth with a custom innerspring mattress and louvered folding doors for privacy is cozy and welcoming. Starboard you'll find "his and her" built-in hanging lockers with beautiful louvered doors and a 5 drawer vanity.  A spacious forward head and shower takes up the bow. The large, and very roomy cockpit has plenty of seating for guests and dining.  There is a sturdy SS dinghy arch with solar panels, and the center of the stern acts as a fold down ladder for easy boarding.
