Decision is an excellent example of one of Bob Perry's most famous designs. Being a Perry design, the Freeport 36 plan “B” is not only a comfortable layout, but she is an excellent sailor as well. The build quality and attention to detail is far above most modern production boats of today. The Freeport 36B would later become the blueprint for the legendary Passport 40 design, which shares almost the same layout.
The generous 12’ beam and large mid-ship master stateroom with pullman style berth makes this a wonderful couples cruiser. She stands apart from other classic designs with a large well lit salon, 6’5” headroom, a well equipped and generous galley, and a unique fold down transom for boarding from a dinghy. The fold down transom is a fantastic feature that is usually not found on classic cruisers.
Come see for yourself why the Freeport 36B is one of my personal favorite designs.
