General Comments:

The M.A.T. 1010, with her aggressive design, very large cockpit, well-balanced sail plan and innovative hull is the outcome of collaboration between Mills Design and builders MAT of Turkey. Mills is an undoubted leader in IRC designs and has used that experience to the full with this boat. She makes cruisers jealous with her unorthodox interior layout, while presenting a challenge against the whole IRC fleet with her outstanding performance, proven with many wins on the race course.

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

· Hull and deck produced with vacuum assisted resin infusion technology (VAI) in PVC foam cored vinylester/e-glass.

· Bulkheads produced in PVC cored vinylester/e-glass, laminated and structurally bonded to hull and deck.

· Multiaxial structural e-glass reinforcement fabrics.

· White colored isophtalic NPG acid gelcoat on hull, deck, bulkheads and interior moulding.

· Moulded non-skid on deck and cockpit floor.

· Composite structural liner for interior arrangement.

· Light composite interior components in cored polyester/e-glass.

Keel & Rudder:

· 550kg SG iron fin with 1600kg lead/antimony bulb = 2150kg (approximate); recessed in the hull and bolted to structure composite frame.

· Coated and faired with a layer of glass/epoxy.

· Composite rudder and carbon fibre stock.

· Jefa high performance self-aligning top/lower rudder bearings.
