Her name is "Legacy" for a reason. This tough ketch is just as functional as she is beautiful. She has very nice lines. Designed by Eric White and Arthur Berry and built in America in 1981, she gives you the impression that you can go anywhere. The current owner has owned her for over ten years, and has cruised the East Coast with her. He repowered her in 2006, and has lovingly maintained her.
The pilothouse gives the impression of being aboard a small ship, providing sunlight and ventilation inside the cabin. The galley and the nav station and helm are in the pilothouse, and then there is seating, a bunk, and storage below, all leading to a large v-berth and ample head.
On deck, the teak detail is part of what makes this boat stand out. She is solid fiberglass and looks every bit as tough.
Among the many great things about Legacy are:

Accommodations
Pilothouse adds space and luxury! The pilothouse offers sunlight and ventilation inside the cabin, as well as an interior as well as exterior helm station for cruising in less-than-perfect weather. The interior is beautifully appointed with teak and holly trim, and the woodstove lends a warm and comfortable feel. The galley is to starboard immediately after you enter, and the nav station and helm are to port. The engine is located under the salon floor, and is easily accessible for maintenance. Stepping down a level, there is seating, a bunk, and storage below forward of the pilothouse, all leading to a large v-berth. The head is roomy and the v-berth comfortable. |
