Overview

As the 1000th yacht to be delivered by Nautor, FORMOSA has always been something a little special. Painstakingly refitted in 2008, she was returned to 'better than new' condition.

SPECIFICATION

Recent History:

 

During 2008/09 the yacht underwent a significant refit with many upgrades (up to €140,000 spent).  Since then the yacht has been serviced every year.

 

Construction:

 

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC (Recreational Craft Directive) as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

·         Hull constructed in single skin.

·         Finished in white gelcoat.

·         Blue coaming, cove and boot stripes.

·         Bulkheads in marine plywood, laminated to hull and deck.

·         GRP reinforcements with foam core.

·         GRP engine bed with steel inserts.

·         Deck constructed in GRP sandwich.

·         Teak laid in cockpits, side decks, bridge deck and foredeck (new teak in cockpit, 2007; further work completed 2008/09).

·         Anodized aluminium toe rail.

·         Hull painted (2007); hull and deck painted, with application of antiskid (2008/09).
