Overview

DOLCE FAR NIENTE (ex INDEPENDENT) is available and ready to go cruising. Launched in 1994 and with major refits in 2007 and 2012, she shows as a thoroughbred that has been meticulously maintained all her life. The yachtsman who buys her, will have very little to do but to bring their toothbrushes and personal effects. She even has FULL tanks of fuel. All systems have been serviced recently. She will be located on Lake Union, close to downtown Seattle, for convenient viewing

Accommodations & Layout

Enter the salon from the spacious cockpit which is perfect for dining or fishing. The salon has an :

    The pilothouse is large and features port and starboard wing doors, providing easy access to the walk-around side decks. Raised seating with table is aft of the twin Stidd helm chairs. Steps lead up to the flybridge which also has complete helm controls (updated 2012)ample seating and storage, and access to the boat deck. Aft of the large air-conditioned pilothouse and down one step is the galley to starboard, which is open to the salon. The cherry flooring extends through the galley and into the pilothouse.(new 2012) The U-shaped preparation area has full Avonite countertops and beautiful cabinetry throughout. Opposite, to port, is the dinette with Avonite table and leather seating for five. 

    The amidship master stateroom has a queen-sized bed, 26" LCD-TV (2006), stereo with surround sound, cedar hanging closet, ample drawer storage and en-suite head with large tile shower & Vacu-Flushhead (new 2012) The forward VIP stateroom has a queen-sized bed, 19" LCD-TV (2006) with stereo, DVD player, cedar hanging locker, drawers and sink. The starboard guest stateroom has two bunks, cedar hanging locker and plenty of drawer space. The forward head has separate shower stall, Vacu-Flush head (new 2012), and sink. Aft of the master stateroom, the utility room has pantry storage, stainless steel work bench with vise, and full-sized Maytag stacked washer and dryer. The engine room is aft of the utility room and can be entered via the utility room or cockpit.
