Overview

This vintage classic sailing yacht is a must see!  Historically, it has participated in many sailing races, including the Panerai and Prada Circuits and placed Third in the 1970 Giraglia Regatta.  Built for a Spanish sailor on a design from Laurent Giles, she has a very "Mediterranean" design.  

Alcor Secondo has innovative features for her time with a  separated rudder and very long over-hangs.  This gives her additional buoyancy in rough weather, yet reduces the wet surface in light wind.  Although she has lived most of her days in Spanish waters, Alcor Secondo is very capable of an Atlantic crossing and worldwide cruising.  There is a model of the vessel on display at the Real Club Nautico in Barcelona.  

Bought in 2000 by its current owner, it has proven to be a comfortable cruise.  Alcor Secondo accommodates 6 adults, as well as a smaller cabin for a child.
