Overview

A number of good decisions were made during the new build with the benefit of the owner’s experience previously building a larger semi-custom yacht.  The spacious 3 stateroom interior arrangement is comparable to many larger sailing yachts.  The optional shoal Scheel keel (5’6”) and Intracoastal friendly mast height maximize access to harbors and waterways.  Electric in mast furling and winches facilitate shorthanded sailing.

Possible Dream has exquisite contemporary European style varnished teak woodwork.  Many  upgrades are included:  new style wheel console; wider main companionway ladder; custom dining table; full length handrails fore and aft; custom swim ladder; auto switches in hanging lockers; bulkhead mounted light switches; stainless opening ports; deck prisms; larger Yanmar turbo (110 hp) diesel; electric primaries and large windlass (Nilsson VWC-3500).

For those planning extended offshore passages and/or liveaboard, Possible Dream’s rugged solid fiberglass hull construction, 40,000 lb displacement, excellent sea kindly performance and open deck space large cockpit and integral swim platform are valued features.

Accommodations

For several decades Bill Dixon’s interior arrangement and styling have been among the world’s best.  No designer has done a better job maximizing the living spaces in a semi-custom performance cruising yacht under 50’.  Possible Dream a Taswell 49’ is a great example with her large salon and aft master cabin; two generous guest cabins; sea going galley.

The beautiful teak interior joinery is another example of the Ta Shing high quality workmanship.  All the spaces are well thought out and all have the detailed elements that are only available from a semi-custom builder that invest the thousands of extra building hours as compared to production designs.

Interior Features Three sleeping cabins with private aft master with ensuite head with separate stall shower, U-shaped galley and navigation center adjacent to the companionway and spacious salon with L shaped settee and custom dining table with drop down leaves to port and straight settee to starboard.  Forward are two guest cabins and guest head also with separate stall shower.  The forward full beam guest cabin has removable filler.  All cabins have excellent storage a trademark feature of semi-custom yachts.
