Introduction

This layout is the "owners version" of the 440 cruising sailboat and features two staterooms with ensuite heads.  The main salon has 6 1/2 feet of ceiling height along with numerous opening ports to give an open and airy atmosphere.  Should extra berths be needed the starboard salon settee converts to sleep two additional.  Some of the main features include:

  • Cruise Air, reverse cycle air conditioning (23M BTU)
  • 6 KW Onan generator (only 725 hrs.)
  • Roller furling main and genoa
  • Full electronics and safety gear

  • Duty paid in Turks & Caicos, so boat can remain there duty free

Salon

The main salon is spacious and classy, providing room for eight persons to dine at the U-shaped dinette with bench seat mid-ships. There are two comfortable chairs, one of which serves the well appointed nav station.  On both P & S there are full length book shelves with lockers beneath. Voluminous storage is found beneath and behind the settees and chairs, along with a built-in wine rack.  The salon is ventilated with 4 opening ports and one overhead hatch.  There are two fixed ports that allow additional light to the salon. A brass clock and barometer finish the decor, along with three book racks.

Features

During the Spring of 2010 the following services have been done:

  • New antifouling paint, new cutlass bearing, & rebuild of the maxprop
  • Wiring was replaced in the mast along with new masthead lights, instruments, and antennas
  • Most of the standing rigging has been replaced with new
  • Headsail is new (There are back up sails for both the main and head sails)
  • Dry storage cover for the whole boat has been resewn & is in good shape
  • The dodger & bimini are in process of being redone & modified
