Overview

"CHAIRMAN" is a well-maintained example of this most popular Broward design. Thoroughly surveyed and mechanically inspected in March 2007, "CHAIRMAN", was refit thereafter and delivered north on her own bottom for the summer's cruising. Should you be looking for a shallow draft coastal cruiser and one with classic raised pilothouse lines, three (3) staterooms plus crew quarters, galley up and a walk-in engine-room with full standing headroom and, at a very reasonable price then "CHAIRMAN" deserves your serious consideration. Offers will be considered.

TOPSIDES HAVE BEEN PAINTED WHITE DURING THE FALL OF 2008.

Vessel Walkthrough

"CHAIRMAN" is a raised pilothouse motor yacht with flybridge, "country galley", three (3) staterooms for owner and guests plus, accommodations for 3-4 crew in private quarters forward completely separate and apart from the owners and guests.

The aft-deck is covered by the extended boat deck above but is otherwise open with unobstructed views of the scenery and is large enough to seat 4 comfortably for coffee or cocktails. A custom, semi-spiral staircase with rails and walk-thru transom door allows easy access to and from the wide aluminum swim / boarding platform.

The flybridge and boat-deck just aft is accessed up from the raised pilothouse. This area seats 12 -16 comfortably on built-in cushioned settees and is shaded by a bimini top. Additional features include a BBQ grill and refrigerator as well as the upper helm station.

A Lounge/Bunny Pad for comfortable sunbathing is built into the trunk cabin just aft of the foredeck.

Main Salon

The Main Salon spans the full beam of the yacht and is therefore an extremely spacious area. The interior décor is "light Safari" and was tastefully installed throughout the yacht. Entering from the aft-deck through a large clear plexiglass sliding door there is an L-shaped settee to port with a coffee table in front. Across to starboard is the entertainment center with granite top, and 2 occasional chairs to either side. Forward on starboard side is a wide stairwell that winds down to the Owner & Guest's staterooms. Across from the stairwell to port is an electric recliner chair. A Dining table and chairs for 6 are forward still with sideboards and granite topped cabinets built in outboard and to either side of the table. Forward most and on centerline is an enclosed wet bar including U-Line Icemaker and Scotsman compact refrigerator/freezer.
Components of the Audio/Visual Systems Include;

  • Sony Color TV w/ Sony VCR
  • Sony STR-DE406 AM/FM Stereo Receiver
  • Zenith DVB216 CD/DVD player
  • Sony CDP-CX250 200 CD changer

Pilothouse

The raised pilothouse is situated forward of the salon and may be accessed from either side. It is aft of and above the galley. There is a leather bench seat aft of the helm, a varnished teak ship's wheel and the visibility from the pilothouse is excellent. A ladder leads up from here to the flybridge.

Galley

A passageway leads forward from the salon along the starboard side of the yacht, past the Day Head and raised Pilothouse and to the Broward's ever-popular "Country (eat-in) Galley" on the main deck level. This area features a fully equipped and updated galley with granite counter tops and a dining table with seating for 6-8 for more casual informal dining.
Galley appliances include:

  • GE Profile side-by-side refrigerator/freezer
  • GE electric Profile 4-burner Ceran top stove & oven
  • GE electric Profile microwave/convection oven
  • Additional SubZero under-counter refrigerator/freezer
  • Wine Cooler - Kitchen Aid
  • Trash Compactor - Kitchen Aid
  • Dishwasher - Kitchen Aid
  • Sony TV/VCR
  • Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo system
  • The galley sole is simulated wood laminate

Master Stateroom

Located downstairs from the Salon and forward of the foyer and guest's staterooms is the Master's Stateroom, which spans the full width of the yacht's beam. This large, spacious room provides ample area for a King-size bed and his & hers heads adjoined by a large Aqua whirl Jacuzzi tub with shower. Additional features of the Master's stateroom include two (2) cedar lined closets, chests of drawers, night stands and reading lamps on either side of the bed, Sharp Aquos LCD TV & Panasonic six (6) DVD/CD player.

VIP Stateroom

Situated all the way aft and on the port side, this stateroom would be considered the VIP stateroom as it features a Queen size bed, full private head with shower, large hanging locker, a chest of drawers, a Panasonic Color TV/VCR and a Blaupunkt Aspen AM/FM stereo cassette player.

Guest Stateroom 2

Situated all the way aft and on the starboard side, this stateroom features twin berths, private head with shower, large hanging locker, a Sylvania color TV/VCR and a Blaupunkt Aspen AM/FM stereo with cassette player.

Crew Quarters

Located forward of and down from the galley and comfortable for 3-4 persons, the crew's quarters are all the way forward in the yacht. This area consists of two (2) cabins that share one head with stall shower. The forward most cabin features two (2) single vee berths and has a Sony color TV. The head follows aft on the port side with the Washer/Dryer across the companionway to starboard. The captain's berth is a double berth just aft of the head and is directly across to port from the "office" which is on the starboard side. The office built into this area features a large desk and executive chair and, there is a Sony color TV also in this area. Access to the engine room is just aft through a watertight door.

Deck Details

Side doors, port & starboard lead out to side decks which then lead forward to the Foredeck. The foredeck has a large padded lounge/"Bunny Pad" for sun bathing and a large compartment for storing deck and cleaning materials is beneath this. The windlass and controls are mounted here, as is the ship's bell.

Flybridge

One accesses the Fly-Bridge up a set of stairs from the pilothouse. The Helm Station is amidships forward and has an extra wide double Bench Seat just aft and a Bimini Top overhead. The helm station has been arranged for ease of operation and is well equipped including Panish engine controls, full VDO engine gauges, pyrometers and Aetna Engineering digital Tachs. An Aluminum radar arch spans the bridge and supports all of the yacht's antennas.
Bench seating with Sunbrella covered cushions and storage lockers under run aft down both sides of the Fly-bridge and then, athwartships at approximately an amidships position. A locker aft of the bench seat houses a small refrigerator, U-Line Ice maker, sink and, a Jennair Elec BBQ grill is housed inside a cabinet aft of this and to starboard. A Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo provides sound to this delightful area of the yacht.
