Overview

"VELA" has seen attractive upgrades since her recent purchase.  The dodger and bimini, new in Sept 2020, are an attractive tan which nicely compliments the green hull.

The salon seating was upgraded in Oct 2020 with rich blue fabric Catalina cushions.  New cockpit cushions, white with green piping, were added in July 2021.

All running rigging runs through Garhauer blocks and rope clutches.  Lewmar manual winches, 30s on coach top and 46s in cockpit, handle halyards and sheets.

A new engine start battery was installed in 2020.

The Universal 25hp Diesel engine was rebuilt in 2000 and since then has accummulated 392 hrs.

There is a solar panel mounted above the bimini to charge the batteries while at anchor. 

Accommodations

Below deck is accessed through the wing doors and sliding hatch. At the base of the companionway steps to port is the head with manual toilet and integrated shower. Forward of the head is the Nav Station and AC/DC power panels and a refrigerator underneath followed by the settee with new Catalina blue cushions. The forward cabin with V-berth continues to the starboard side of the salon where you find the dinette with seating also in the Catalina blue cushions. Aft of the dinette is the galley with a cold box, a double sink and two burner stove with oven. At the end of the galley is the aft cabin with an athwartships double berth.
