Overview

Morgan's beautifully distinctive profile is complimented by their reputation for able performance. Built by Catalina Yachts, exceptional is the best description of this fully outfitted Morgan with no detail overlooked. If you are looking for a safe, fast cruising vessel with a true touch of luxury, IPHIGENIA is very well founded and, and in turnkey condition.

IPHIGENIA is part of the highly sought after Morgan 45 line and there is nothing like her on the market.  Lovingly cared for by her owners, IPHIGENIA is in turnkey condition and ready for island cruising or local regattas.

Beginning at with the forecabin that occupies the full width of the boat, you proceed aft to an entrance to the ensuite head that is to port. Another door closes off this whole area and there is another door into the head from the salon.

In the salon there is a straight settee to port, followed aft by the navigation.  Opposite the straight settee and to starboard is an L-shaped settee with a dining table.

Located aft of the dining area we find a very efficient u-shaped galley which starts inboard at the cockpit stairs, and ends outboard on the starboard wall.

Aft of the galley and salon is the walkthrough to the master cabin - on the inboard side is access to the engine.   The electrical panels and control panel for the inverter are located above the engine access doors. Outboard in the walk-through are large storage cabinets.

Most aft is the master cabin which offers a centerline berth.  The ensuite head is located to starboard and forward.

The whole of the interior is paneled with teak veneers and solid trims, satin varnished, as well as many white surfaces giving a very light and airy feeling to the interior.

The cabin sole is teak and holly. Many hatches and side ports provide plentiful natural light and good ventilation.

Accommodations

IPHIGENIA'S master stateroom offers a centerline queen with comfortable settees on either side and four large drawers below the berth. Forward and to starboard there is a small vanity unit with a sink and mirrored cabinet above. On the centerline and forward is a second vanity unit with a large mirror and there are plentiful hanging closets and drawers forward on the port side.

The ensuite head is located to starboard and forward and features a spacious head and sink area with a large tub and shower unit most forward. The tub/shower has sliding plexiglass doors and a large locker forward.

The guest stateroom is located at the foremost section of IPHIGENIA.  it has a large double v-berth occupying the full width of the boat, with full-width shelf forward and above the berth. Below the bunk is a large clothes drawer and to starboard and aft of the berth is cushioned seat followed by a large hanging locker outboard and there are forward-facing drawers inboard and a cabinet above them.

Aft and to port is the entrance to a good-sized head, shower unit. A door closes off this whole area and there is another door into the head from the salon.

Galley and Salon

In the salon we find a very comfortable straight settee to port, with shelving and storage cabinets outboard.  Opposite the straight settee and to starboard is an L-shaped settee with a dining table and with storage cabinets above and outboard.

Aft of the dining area we find a very efficient u-shaped galley which starts inboard and forward with double stainless steel sinks set into a long countertop and there is a microwave oven built in above and inboard at the aft end. Along the short aft end is the top-opening freezer and the refrigeration beside it is both top and front opening. The 3-burner propane stove and oven are outboard with another work surface forward. Deck and Hull

The deck is unique among center cockpit yachts her size. The cockpit is deep with high comfortable seat backs and an elevated helm seat that provides good visibility and easy access to the winches. The wide coamings create an additional seating level.

High quality hardware on deck and less obvious but even more important is the computer engineered sub-sole, molded fiberglass structual systems for mast step, hull reinforcement and tank support. A large padded sundeck aft of the cockpit is a favorite lounging space underway or at anchor. Traditional seaworthy bulwarks on the side decks create a sense of security on deck seldom found on contemporary yachts.

Modern features like the swim platform with port and starboard access stairs, an on deck hot and cold shower, ant the electric anchor windlass recessed in the foredeck have been designed because they make sense and enhance life aboard.
