Broker's Comments

German Yachts in close co-operation with Dubbel & Jesse built CAPE CROSS.  Designed by Tony Castro, she offers a maximum of comfort and safety.

With her three cabin layout CAPE CROSS is an ideal yacht for family cruising. She is rugged and well found for serious passage-making.

In 2000 CAPE CROSS sailed to the UK where the Berthon Boat Company carried out an exhaustive refit to prepare her for serious world cruising.  Many systems were replaced and including the main engine and generator to ensure total reliability.  The rig was overhauled and painted, as well as being further enhanced with a CarboSpars Park Avenue style boom.  The yacht was totally resprayed and the teak deck totally refurbished.  Whilst in refit Nicholson Interiors reworked the whole interior in an imaginative fashion to update the yacht, yet retaining her character.

After some enthusiastic cruising in her next ownership, when the layout was altered to provide a large owner’s cabin and two guest cabins, the current owner purchased CAPE CROSS and at that time she needed a refit and another upgrade of her systems. He has sailed her only sparingly yet has undertaken a thoughtful upgrade of systems in his ownership. He now lacks the time to use the yacht so the quest for a new owner is urgent.

She has been consistently improved and updated and is offered for sale ready for the current season.
