OVERVIEW

The Hunter 216 offers a sporty ride with loads of floatation.  Glenn Henderson, the Hunter 216 designer, has truly brought a vessel that both novices or seasoned skippers will appreciate. The forgiving nature of the rig, the stability of the hull, and the simplicity of sailing the 216, is awesome.  

The innovative underbody will provide exhilarating performance with the ability to power down whenever needed by furling the jib sail.  The large open cockpit will accommodate the crew with comfort. The "cuddy" cabin can accommodate a portapottie and the cozy "V" berth can sleep two.  

A unique hydraulic lift mechanism allows for effortless lifting of the keel.  The removable inboard rudder gives real performance with true beaching ability.  The hull is constructed with Hunter's patented Advanced Composite Process (ACP) which combines thermoformed UV protected plastic, fiberglass mat and injected foam.  The result is a tough, almost maintenance-free hull that is virtually unsinkable.
