Overview

This Hunter Passage has many upgrades and has been very well maintained by this her second owner since he took ownership in 2004. The current owner is a knowledgeable yachtsman who has cruised her on the Florida West coast and over to the Bahamas multiple times. She is air conditioned and has a generator. Her upgraded roller furling main boom makes for easier sail handling. She is well equipped for cruising with davits and an electric windlass. Her interior boasts good storage and a commodious layout for extended cruising or living aboard.

The Hunter Passage 42 blends center-cockpit comfort with surprising performance in a contemporary cruising boat with bluewater capabilities. Her powerful masthead rig, roller furling jib and cockpit line-handling make those long passages truly enjoyable. Below, the 42 is truly a work of art. Designer fabrics, hand-rubbed teak, and Corian counters provide the warm, friendly atmosphere, while her 14-foot beam gives the spaciousness you need. The incredible salon is perfect for dining in or entertaining the crew. Any mate will appreciate the layout of the fully-equipped galley. Refrigerator-freezer, LPG stove with oven, microwave and storage galore will change your outlook on cooking aboard. Privacy is paramount for extended cruising and the Hunter 42 with its two-stateroom, two-head design keeps it that way. The sumptuous master stateroom offers a queen-size walk around berth, incredible storage and hanging lockers, plus a full head, complete with a shower-tub. The full-size berth, desk vanity, and adjoining head in the forward guest quarters will be a comfortable refuge after a great day at sea. 

Accommodations

Coming down the companionway one enters the aft end of the salon with the nav. station to port and the galley to stbd.. Moving forward in the salon is the dining table to port with a curved settee and a straight settee to stbd.. The dining table/settee converts to a bunk. There is a flat screen TV on the port side of the forward partition bulkhead. Forward to stbd. is a guest/day head with shower entered from either the salon or the forward stateroom. The forward stateroom is all the way forward with a centerline full bed. Turning around and heading back aft the engine compartment is on the centerline under the cockpit aft of the salon. To port aft is the passageway to the aft cabin. The aft cabin has a centerline full berth aft and a settee to port with storage to stbd.. The aft head is to stbd. forward off of the aft stateroom. It has a tub/shower/stall forward in it. There is lots of storage throughout. The generator is stacked above the engine in the engine compartment. The batteries and inverter are aft of the engine compartment. There are numerous hatches and  ports for ventilation in addition to the reverse cycle air conditioning.
