Description
“LOON” is a 2014 Sabre 42 Salon Express which combines classic Downeast styling with State-of-the-art composite construction. Sabre was one of the first Downeast builders to take advantage of efficient pod drive technology, a feature that has much to do with the enduring popularity of this yacht. With her large cockpit, enclosed pilothouse/salon and spacious two-stateroom layout, the 42 salon is the consummate cruising and entertaining yacht. The airy salon includes an L-shaped settee with inlaid table, side-by-side Stidd helm and companion seats, dinette and step-down galley open to the salon. The helm door provides ease of access to the starboard side for tying lines or fenders. Forward of the galley is a full head/shower to port and guest conversion settee/office to starboard. Forward to the bow is the main cabin. In the cockpit, there is an L-shaped couch along the transom wall with refrigeration and grill on the starboard side of the aft deck door. Teak toe rails and wide walkarounds provide a finishing touch to this beautiful Downeast yacht. Engine propulsion is provided by the Cummins 380hp diesel engines with Zeus pod drives that cruise at 24-25 knots.
